Some might say good shapewear can be life-changing, but to some, it’s even life-saving. Angelina, honeygxd on TikTok, shared the story of how Kim Kardashian allegedly saved her life. “This New Year’s, I got shot four times. The night I got shot, under my dress, I was wearing a SKIMS shaping bodysuit. It was so tight on me that it literally kept me from bleeding out,” she explains.

Angelina went on to make the situation lighthearted saying, “I recommend it. I’m definitely going to buy some more. I mean, I should wear it every day. It’s like body armor for women,” she says. “Call it fate or Jesus, but I’m going to call it Kim.” Angelina won’t need to buy more SKIMS herself because after Kim saw the video and reposted it SKIMS reached out to send her some more.

In a later video, she shares that she was wearing SKIMS Seamless Sculpt Thong Bodysuit ($68) beneath her dress that evening. She explains that the fit of the shapewear altered how her body sat, and if she hadn’t been wearing it, perhaps there could have been more damage to other organs.

Thankfully, Angelina is doing okay, but it’s worth pointing out that women shouldn’t need to wear armor-like shapewear to keep them alive. Gun violence continues to plague the country, and in a shocking turn of events, we’re just glad Kim Kardashian was in the mix to save the day.
