We’ll be honest—Sabrina Carpenter’s MTV Video Music Awards look got us thinking nonsense because it’s just that good. The nominee and performer came through the MTV Video Music Awards with her signature curtain bangs and a glowy makeup look that billed blush as its main attraction. The makeup stayed put and pigmented throughout her performance of her hit songs “Feather” and “Nonsense.”
Celebrity makeup artist Carolina Gonzalez is the mind behind Carpenter’s look. “Sabrina’s Dress was the Inspiration,” she says. “I decided to go for a dreamy luminous glow with flushed angelic cheeks and fluffy lashes. She looked like a ‘Dreamy Angel.’” Gonazalez achieved the look with some help from Armani. The combination of Armani Beauty Luminous Silk Glow Blush in 51 ($38) and Luminous Silk Glow Setting Powder in 4 and 6.5 ($64) gave Carpenter the most perfectly flushed cheeks on the carpet.
For a dramatic eye, Gonzalez popped on some faux lashes. She applied three clusters of Velour-Xtensions Lash Clusters – Classic ($30) on each eye to create a natural, flared cat-eye shape. A few coats of Eyes to Kill Lengthening Mascara ($33) and Eye Tint Long-Lasting Liquid Eye Shadow ($36) made the eyes pop.
Carpenter was on trend with nude lips. Her pout was sealed with a soft beige shade Lip Power Long Lasting Lipstick in 107 Sensual ($45).
