My faith in Dyson is so strong that the first time I tested the new Flyaway Smoother attachment was mere hours before I went on TV. I was running behind for my early morning call time at the Today show and needed a tool that would dry and style my hair in a snap. Luckily, I had just received the new Dyson attachment. The process of using it was easy to learn, quick and effective, providing TV-ready hair in less than 15 minutes.
The Benefits:
The Flyaway Smoother attachment, which pairs with the Dyson Supersonic ($430), is the first two-in-one attachment engineered to combine two modes that style and dry hair at once for a sleek look in a matter of minutes. The design functionality calls upon an in-salon styling concentrator and promotes the results of a round brush.
It has two modes: Smoothing (to dry and align hair) and Flyaway (to hide flyaways and give hair a shiny finish). Smoothing mode can be used on wet hair and is best suited for straight or wavy strands. The Flyaway mode should only be used on dry hair and is ideal for naturally straight or wavy hair and any hair type that has been straightened.
If you’re a Dyson devotee, you may recall the brand has an older Flyaway attachment ($40). This new and reimagined attachment has more functionality than the original. The main benefits of the Flyaway Smoother are the shiny, fresh results that look like you’ve just stepped out of a salon, the efficiency of the product and the limited heat damage through it all.
One of my favorite added benefits of the tool is that my hair stays fresher and smoother for longer. I wore my hair exactly as the Flyaway Smoother left it for a few days. One morning I had my hair in a ponytail, and couldn’t stop touching it because it was still shockingly silky.
Bottom Line:
The Flyaway Smoother attachment is the perfect addition to the Dyson Supersonic if you’re looking to get sleek, frizz-free hair in a flash.
