Shortly after killing it as (a guitar-shredding) Belle in Beauty and the Beast: A 30th Celebration, musician H.E.R. is enjoying some much-deserved downtime and letting her natural curls shine — and the internet is obsessed.
H.E.R. shared a carousel of photos in a marigold-yellow two-piece set (very Belle), sipping a cup of coffee, and soaking up the sun on what appears to be a warm weather vacation. She wears minimal makeup, save for some dark, lush, fluttery lashes and a hint of pink lip color. But it’s her hair that instantly captures your attention. We usually see H.E.R. in long, wavy styles or in braids, so seeing her natural curls is a surprise — and a truly gorgeous one. “In my purest form,” she wrote in her caption, adding yellow heart and palm tree emojis for good measure. All that fairytale romance must have rubbed off on the star, who is truly glowing and radiating relaxed happiness in the pics.
It’s safe to say that the internet is falling at H.E.R.’s feet after seeing these stunning snapshots. “Is this what love at first sight feels like,” wrote an Instagram commenter. “You the type I want to meet my grandma,” wrote another. Chloe Bailey weighed in on the look, saying H.E.R. looked “absolutely stunning” on vacay, and Saweetie commented with a heart-eyes emoji, as did Storm Reid. One commenter even offered to drink H.E.R.’s bathwater! (And you know what? We kind of get it.)
No matter how she chooses to wear her hair, H.E.R. always looks picture-perfect. For her role as Belle, she changed up her style a few times, wearing a loose, low ponytail tied with a bow when Belle courageously saves her father from the Beast, then opting for ringlet curls for a walk around the palace in the snow, complete with a sweet pink faux-fur hood. For the romantic ballroom dance to the iconic theme, H.E.R. channeled the animated princess with a loosely curled half-updo with face-framing bangs and that beloved bright-yellow ballgown, of course. H.E.R. has definitely been crowned the new princess of our hearts this year.
