It’s been two long years since we’ve gotten to cover the best beauty looks at the Golden Globes. The awards show has faced multiple controversies in recent years, including the 2021 revelation that the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, the former voting body of the awards, had no Black members; allegations of pay-to-play awards for celebrities and movie studios; and an accusation of sexual harassment against former HFPA president Philip Berk.
The Globes may be suffering from a more-than-dinged reputation, but new owner Dick Clark Productions (of Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper’s CNN New Year’s Eve) was determined to bring the awards show back from the brink with a brand-new voting body in charge of handing out awards. This year, the Globes returned to television bringing the attendant red carpet and gussied-up celebrities along with it and the exciting night certainly brought hair, makeup, and nail looks to reflect that.
