Selena Gomez kept her Instagram active this week as the news around her appearance at the MTV VMAs has died down.
The singer shared a series of photos on her Instagram Story, with some showing off her corseted looks and others giving a look at her makeup-free face. One photo even had her flirting with bangs:
Gomez also shared a caption-less makeup-free selfie to her Instagram grid.
It has been a busier season for Gomez in music.
She released her first single, “Single Soon,” last month. Gomez has more music coming, although she has not revealed her album drop date just yet.
In early September, she told Bru of the Audacy Check In podcast to expect nothing but upbeat songs on her next album.
“Unintentionally…there’s actually no sad songs on this record,” she began. “Vulnerability is my thing so obviously I’m telling people where I am in this stage in my life, and I feel really, really good… I’m in a really healthy space and I’m so happy. So the whole album is just a true pop record, it’s so much fun, and it’s consistently gonna get people moving and feeling things.”
The lyrics will get personal though, she said in the same interview: “I can’t help but really relate and indulge my life through lyrics. It’s just so much fun, even if it’s a song that’s upbeat like ‘It Ain’t Me,’ there’s still such vulnerability in the lyrics. But it’s one of the most energetic fun songs that I’ve done.”
