Selena Gomez Brought the Cutest Surprise Date to the 2023 Golden Globes

Selena Gomez didn’t attend the 2023 Golden Globes alone after all. The Only Murders in the Building star, who was nominated for Best Actress in a TV Series, Musical or Comedy, brought a very special, adorable date with her—and no, it wasn’t a new boyfriend. Gomez posed on the red carpet with her nine-year-old sister Gracie Teefey. Gracie was dressed in a dazzling gold dress alongside Gomez in her black gown and its dramatic plum sleeves.

Gomez is very close to her little sister and spoke to her friend Raquelle Stevens in 2022 about how Gracie is the rainbow in her cloud. “She’s eight years old, and she puts things in perspective,” Gomez said. “I have to basically watch this little person grow into a human being and there’s no better feeling in the world. I kind of feel like I’m a parent in a way even though I’m not. It’s so rewarding to see that life was so simple at one point, and I want to enjoy life sometimes the way she enjoys life.”

Gomez posted in October 2017, when Gracie was just 4, about how important it was for her to be a role model to her little sis. “I will forever let my sister know she is strong, bold and beautiful,” Gomez wrote. “She will be raised to know her voice matters. She is going to understand the importance behind being a leader and inspire others by her truth.”

Romantically, Gomez is single currently—but open to finding love. A source told Entertainment Tonight on December 29, “Selena is feeling positive and optimistic. She is open to dating.” Rumors spread recently she could be dating Nicola Peltz Beckham’s 33-year-old brother Bradley, but there’s been no sightings or concrete confirmation. A source even told unverified celeb gossip Instagram DeuxMoi that they probably weren’t an item.
