While we all love a good mascara, and a great formula can go a long way in enhancing our natural lashes, sometimes, there’s just no replacing a good false lash. Whether it’s a full lash or just a few pieces on the outer corner, falsies can totally transform your eyes, and even our favorite celebrities need a little extra elongation on those lashes, especially on big nights.

At tonights Golden Globes, for instance, tons of our favorite actresses dawned some sultry glam looks, thanks in large part to tried-and-true lashes. For actresses Natasha Lyonne and Rachel Brosnahan, this viral falsie brand was behind both of their gorgeous Globes looks, and we got the inside scoop into just what, how and why their makeup artists chose their lash curations.

Rachel Brosnahan’s Lashify Look

When it comes to high-quality, long-lasting lashes, Lashify is the gold standard. For Rachel Brosnahan, better known by many as The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel herself, her bright red Golden Globes gown “lent itself to glowing skin, sculpted, rosy cheeks, flirty lashes and a bright lip,” makeup artist Lisa Aharon shared. “We wanted the makeup to be bold, but still fresh to compliment her form fitting gown.”

In order to create that bold, glamorous look, Aharon also turned to Lashify to create a dramatic yet natural-looking lash moment for the star. “To elongate her eye shape, I gave Rachel’s lashes a little sweep up to the outer corners,” Aharon explained. To ensure the look was personalized and fitting to Brosnahan, the makeup artist created a Lashify Lashmap utilizing different lashes of different lengths across the lashline. “I used Lashify Lashmap B8, B8 ($16), B10, B10 ($16) and B12 ($16) from the inner to outer corner of her eye,” she explained.

Natasha Lyonne’s Lashify Look

For the Pokerface star, celebrity makeup artist James Kaliardos says he was inspired by 60’s Hollywood glamour. “I created a tone-on-tone color scheme for Natasha’s makeup punctuated by extended eyeliner and a graphic lash look.” To create this “graphic lash” look, Kaliardos took an intricate, carefully curated approach. “I built up Natasha’s lashes using Lashify Gossamers in Lashmap A+10 ($22), SD.12 ($25), SB.14 ($25), SD.14 ($25), SB.14, placed from inner to outer corner for a starlike, popping, lash look,” he began. “I prepped her lashes with Lashify Pre-Cleanse Cleansing Water ($31) followed by a gentle application of Lashify Bondage ($25).”

“While waiting for the bond to slightly dry, I laid out my Lashmap so I could move smoothly from one size Gossamer to the next,” Kaliardos went on. “I then applied a coat of Lashify Whisper Light Flexible Bond ($28), and with the patented Lashify Fuse Control Wand I applied each light-as-a-feather lash to the underside of Natasha’s lash bed. Once the Lashify Gossamers were all applied I fused them in place and finished with a light coat of Water Poof Sealer ($28) to remove any stickiness.”
