NSYNC star Joey Fatone, 46, recently shared the details about his plastic surgery procedures, aiming to inspire others and break down the stigma around men opting for cosmetic enhancements.

“It’s crazy how many guys get work done,” Fatone told PEOPLE. “They don’t broadcast it because a lot of men are very shy or embarrassed about it, but there’s nothing to be embarrassed about! I’m never afraid to tell people about this stuff. Who cares?”

Joey Fatone is spot-on. A 2019 report from the American Society of Plastic Surgeons revealed that over 1.3 million cosmetic procedures are performed on men. Moreover, the report highlighted a significant 29 percent increase in men undergoing plastic surgery since 2002, underscoring a growing trend of men embracing cosmetic procedures.

A Body-Contouring Treatment

The entertainer shared that he recently underwent AirSculpt, a procedure to remove fat from his chin and stomach. AirSculpt is a form of liposuction that uses a vibrating cannula to break up fat. The treatment is typically done under twilight anesthesia.

Fatone says he just wanted a few subtle enhancements. “I’m not trying to change my look. I’m just trying to edit it a little bit!” said the star. When referring to his results, Fatone has no regrets. “I’m definitely starting to see the results now.”

Hair Restoration Surgery

He also says he underwent hair restoration surgery to address thinning hair. “Two years ago, things were a little thinner up there, and I’m on television. I had to start wearing this spray to fill in my hair, and I just hated it,” he admits. “I want to get plugs to fill it in.”

“Look, I’m just trying to look a little bit better in the way that I look in clothes,” he added. “I’ve had so many people in this industry tell me that I need to lose weight and look a certain way, blah blah blah. I mean, I may lose a little bit of weight, but I’m still going to be the same person I’ve been.”
