preview for How Margot Robbie Became a Household Name

Margot Robbie took a break from paying tribute to one iconic blonde to honor another on her Barbie press tour. After stepping out in three pink outfits, the actress wore a yellow tweed Chanel set that gave very strong Cher Horowitz from Clueless vibes. Robbie styled her hair like Alicia Silverstone’s in the teen film, wearing her straight blonde locks with a side part. She accessorized with a fuzzy white bag. Her stylist Andrew Mukamal and makeup artist Pati Dubroff shared photos of the look:

Before the team unveiled that outfit, Robbie was photographed wearing vintage Chanel (specifically from the line’s spring/summer 1996 collection) at the Sydney airport. She paired a pink tweed blazer with a white bandeau and gray pants.

Robbie has given numerous interviews on the Barbie movie by now. In her first and one of her most extensive, Robbie explained to Vogue why she played Barbie as if the doll does not feel sexual desire.

“I’m like, Okay, she’s a doll. She’s a plastic doll. She doesn’t have organs,” Robbie explained. “If she doesn’t have organs, she doesn’t have reproductive organs. If she doesn’t have reproductive organs, would she even feel sexual desire? No, I don’t think she could. [So yes,] she is sexualized. But she should never be sexy. People can project sex onto her. Yes, she can wear a short skirt, but because it’s fun and pink. Not because she wanted you to see her butt.”
