Lizzo Got a Wolf Cut and Now I Want a Wolf Cut — See the Video

Must read

Lizzo! Wolf cut! OMG! The musician just debuted her take on the shaggy, wavy cut trend and it’s safe to say it’s one of her best looks ever.

Lizzo posted a glimpse at the flirty, fresh chop to TikTok, asking followers if they were loving her wolf cut. The verdict? Um, duh! Lizzo’s hair currently hits her ribcage and is cut into playful, choppy layers so the hair swings with free-flowing texture and bounce. Not only did she get a wolf cut, but Lizzo also added bangs to her look, opting for a brow-brushing long, wispy fringe that feels straight out of the ’70s. Rosy cheeks, glossy lips and fluttery lashes at her outer corners added to the flirtatious vibe.

The star was clearly feeling herself with the new cut. She also posted a cute Instagram video saying she was “Obsessed with how cute I was yesterday,” and we don’t blame her one bit. Just watch that hair move! It’s so lush and gorgeous. If this is the energy Lizzo is bringing into 2023, we’re right there with her.

The wolf cut is quite a dramatic change from Lizzo’s most recent holiday look, where she channeled the Grinch in a lime green wig and matching striped green jumpsuit at the 2022 iHeartMusic Jingle Ball. She’s also not the only celeb currently loving the wolf cut; Wednesday star Jenna Ortega said goodbye to Wednesday’s braids, chopping her hair and dyeing it auburn. Ciara has also experimented with the cut, rocking a platinum shag in October, as have Taylor Swift and Keke Palmer. Wolf cuts are a favorite of both stylists and clients because the cut enhances your natural hair texture, so it works for straight hair, waves and curls alike. If Lizzo’s new look is any indication, the wolf cut trend isn’t slowing down — it’s just getting hotter.
