In a recent episode of “Let’s Talk Off Camera with Kelly Ripa” on Sirius XM Radio, Kelly Ripa and her longtime friend and colleague, Ryan Seacrest, engaged in a candid conversation about their enduring friendship. According to Seacrest, Ripa extended a warm welcome to him when he moved to New York City and even provided him with a list of the city’s top doctors. Now, at the age of 49, Seacrest reveals that he’s finally making use of that list. This revelation also led to the discovery that Ripa sends him her before-and-after photos from Fraxel treatments.
Kelly playfully commended Seacrest for not needing her list sooner. “Let’s just congratulate you for not needing doctors until you turn 49,” she joked. “I’ve got a doctor for everything. You’ve got subcategories when people text me and ask, ‘Do you have a good dermatologist?’ I reply, ‘What specific treatment are you looking for?’“
Seacrest then inquired, “What’s the thing you send me pictures of?” Ripa immediately responded, “Fraxel! Yes, it’s my favorite. It’s my favorite noninvasive procedure.”
What is Fraxel?
Fraxel is a type of laser used for skin treatment, addressing concerns such as fine lines, wrinkles, sun damage, age spots, acne scars, and uneven skin texture. The Fraxel laser creates controlled micro-injuries in the skin, stimulating the body’s natural healing process and collagen production, improving skin elasticity and texture. The healing process results in a younger and smoother appearance.
Reflecting on their long history, Ryan Seacrest noted, “I have witnessed the progress of your procedures over the last two decades.” To which Ripa replied, “Actually, it became more frequent when we were working together. That’s when I really started needing all these procedures.”
The Noninvasive Procedures Kelly Ripa Loves Most
Ripa, 53, has been candid about the procedures she’s tried in the past. She told Glamour that she first tried Botox Cosmetic at the age of 39 and described it as a life-changing experience, getting the procedure done about once every 10 months. In addition to Fraxel, Ripa has said in the past she’s also adopted a more involved skin-care routine that includes daily SPF, hydrating face oils, and a healthy diet.
Surprisingly, Ripa mentioned that she hasn’t undergone any cosmetic treatments since his departure from “Live with Kelly and Ryan” in April. She explained, “And here’s the thing, since I stopped working with you, I haven’t had a single cosmetic procedure. I don’t know what that says. I think you should only work with people your own age. Anyone four years younger or more, and suddenly, I look like the Cryptkeeper. Now, with Mark [Consuelos], I look age appropriate.”
Seacrest quipped, “That’s a good rule.”
