Keke Palmer is currently in the midst of her Big Boss tour, entertaining fans across the United States. Between shows, the singer-slash-actor attended the 2023 Music in Action Awards, hosted by the Black Music Action Coalition on September 21, to accept the BMAC Social Impact Award. At the gala, the actor looked stunning in a low ponytail with swoopy baby hair.

Palmer arrived at the event dressed in a black, sequined, floor-length gown with a sweetheart neckline. Hairstylist Keshaun Williamson, who goes by the Lace Assassin, slicked her hair into a low ponytail secured at the base of her neck. For this style, he gave her a curved side part. Her hair cascaded in loose glossy waves from the base of her ponytail.

With a style this silky and sleek, her baby hairs had to match. He kept it simple, slicking down the hair at her sideburns. The very ends were left out and flipped backward towards her ear instead of having the edges completely glued to her hairline.
