The family that slays together stays together if the Wades are any indication. On September 2, Gabrielle Union alongside her family showed up and out for Beyoncé’s concert in Los Angeles. Union wasn’t letting her foot off our necks that easily, though; days later she was rocking a glossy curled bob and side bang. And then, not too long after we spotted her curled bang, she was back with another look for New York Fashion Week: a super slicked-back topknot.

Union wore her high bun to the Ralph Lauren Spring 2024 Ready To Wear Fashion Show held in Brooklyn on September 8. She paired the sleek topknot with a black one-shoulder gown with shoes and nails in a matching color. Simplicity was the theme of this entire ensemble.

Hairstylist Nai’vasha brushed Union’s hair back into a high bun. Not a single hair was out of place, and we need the details on what holding product she used ASAP. Maybe it was a strong hold hair gel such as Pattern Strong Hold Hair Gel or a mousse such as Motions Style & Create Versatile Foam. Or, alternatively, she combined several holding products for the ultimate slicked-back look.

Union remained committed to the minimalist vibes with her makeup. Matte black shadows were blended on her lids for a smoky effect and paired with wispy lashes, which were likely the result of falsies. Her shiny mauve lipstick was the perfect subdued pairing for the dark eye makeup.
