How Chris Evans Went Instagram Official With Girlfriend Alba Baptista

Chris Evans and Alba Baptista have been dating for a while, but they haven’t made much comment about their relationship publicly—until now. Evans seemingly confirmed that the pair were definitely dating after sharing a video on social media showing them playfully teasing one another for the last 12 months.

“A look back at 2022,” the 41-year-old actor wrote over his Instagram Story on Friday, January 6, adding a few red heart emojis to show how he was feeling about the year. The video compilation showed the loving couple showing their love by scaring one another every chance they could get.

In some cases, they appear to genuinely catch one another off guard, but in other clips it seems like they’re starting to get wise to their partner’s habits. In one clip, the 25-year-old actress yells, “I knew it!” as Evans jumps out at her.

Fans have suspected that Evans and Baptista were dating since 2021, when she began following the Avenger star on Instagram along with several of his family members. In October of 2022, it was noted that a photo of some carved pumpkins Evan posted on Instagram was also the profile picture of Baptista’s mom. In November, they were seen holding hands in Central Park, and he eft comments on one of her Instagram posts about her upcoming film Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris.

Not many of Evans’ relationships have been public. He was most recently connected to comedian Jenny Slate after they worked together on the 2017 film Gifted. They broke up after about a year together, but a source told US Weekly afterward that he was determined to “be more private with his love life [going forward].”

The insider added, “Chris feels neutral towards Jenny Slate and holds no bad feelings towards her. [He] is happy for her.”
