Any celebrities who try to convince you that their exceedingly amazing skin is the result of drinking lots of water and applying olive oil, they’re not telling you the whole story. Sunscreen plays a huge part in keeping skin both safe and stunning for years to come, and you’re never too young to start wearing it every single day. Hailey Bieber, haver of outrageously beautiful skin, knows this. And from the looks of it, she also knows that it’s not just about wearing sunscreen every day — it’s about applying enough of it.

On Friday, October 6, Bieber shared a video on TikTok, captioning it with “Mornings 🙆🏼‍♀️🍁🍁.” Specifically, she’s referring to her skin-care routine in the morning, which she demonstrates in the 42-second clip. After rinsing her face and brushing her teeth, the model applies an essence and a serum — it appears to be her own Rhode Glazing Milk and Peptide Glazing Fluid — followed by the last complexion-related step: sunscreen.

The fact that Bieber is dutifully applying sunscreen is awesome, but the fact that she uses a dermatologist-approved technique for making sure you’re applying enough gives us the downright warm fuzzies. In the video, we see Bieber squeezing out a line of what appears to be Summer Fridays Shadedrop SPF 30 (which has shown up on her Instagram before) in a line down the length of her pointer and middle fingers. Board-certified dermatologist Carmen Castilla, MD, has previously told Allure that this measurement method will ensure that your face and neck are protected until it’s reapplication time.

Rhode has yet to launch a sunscreen of its own, hence Bieber using another brand’s formula. (Much better than just pretending she doesn’t wear sunscreen until she makes her own, am I right?) And if you want another Bieber-approved option, she recently told Allure that she considers EltaMD UV Daily Tinted Face Sunscreen SPF 40 “the GOAT.”

But if you ask us, Bieber’s the GOAT for sharing such a smart sunscreen habit with her millions of followers.
