Hydrafacial may be synonymous with the glowy, glass-like skin it imparts after a single treatment, but a new study reports a whole new (life-changing) benefit for the supercharged in-office facial.

In a new study published in the Journal of Clinical and Aesthetic Dermatology (JCAD), Hydrafacial reported that 100-percent of study participants reported clearer, less-inflamed skin after a series of clarifying Hydrafacial treatments. The treatment consisted of the brand’s patented vortex fusion device paired with blue LED light.

The study spanned 12 weeks and included 20 participants, each presenting with mild to moderate acne and ranging in age from 19 to 48. Study participants received six clarifying Hydrafacial treatment from a trained esthetician (one every two weeks).

At the close of the study, all participants reported “a significant improvement in acne severity, with 100 percent of participants finding they had fewer acne lesions and cleaner, more radiant skin,” the brand shares.

Perhaps most impactful of all, the facial also instilled more confidence in these individuals. “Participants reported a significant boost in confidence in their appearance, growing from 40 percent feeling more confident after their first treatment to 100 percent after their final treatment,” the study reads.

Next time you’re booking a facial, you can’t go wrong with a Hydrafacial. Come for the clear skin, stay for the confidence boost.
