In all the years I’ve been getting tattoos, I’ve yet to convince my mom to get matching ink with me. And it’s not like I’m asking her to get some big, colorful sleeve or anything like that. Maybe just a dainty little design — something like that small, matching tattoos that Brooke Shields just got with her own daughters.
Over Mother’s Day weekend, the modeling legend shared that she’s been collecting matching tattoos with her two daughters, Rowan and Grier Henchy. “Matching tattoos with both of my girls. There’s nothing like being a mama,” she wrote for the caption on a cute carousel of photos on her Instagram grid.
Shields’s tattoo with 18-year-old Grier is brand-new, as their tattoo artist, Scott Campbell, also revealed on his Instagram grid, where he wrote, “Sometimes getting to the tattoo you are supposed to get is a long process of exploring different ideas and directions, but @brookeshields and @grierhhenchy showed up with a perfect concept for matching mother/daughter tattoos.”
That concept: a super-sweet, minimalist illustration of a woman’s feet in high heels facing a child’s feet not quite filling out those same high heels. Shields got hers on her forearm, while Grier’s is on her wrist. (Shoutout to Grier’s nail artist for the cute brick-red French manicure.)
