On Saturday, Beyoncé walked the red carpet for the Atlantis The Royal Grand Reveal Weekend, a new ultra-luxury resort, in Dubai, looking like an actual goddess in a custom Dolce & Gabbana gold sequin and sheer gown with an armored-style bodice and column skirt. The dress was covered with a metallic coat in the same shade with giant puff sleeves that she let drape down her arms as she posed for photographers.
The coat’s train pooled behind her, and her hair drifted down her back in rippling gold waves. Beyoncé wore a pair of long statement earrings, and was carrying a small gold clutch. On one hand was a large gold ring. She wore a flawless but very natural makeup palette, with shimmering rose eyelids and a neutral pink lip.
The musical icon is scheduled to perform live at the event, for the first time in five years. She was reportedly paid $24 million for her private one-hour set at the luxury hotel’s launch. The concert will be be followed by fireworks and a DJ set by Swedish House Mafia.
Her husband Jay-Z is in attendance, and her children Blue Ivy, Rumi, and Sir traveled to the United Arab Emirates to support their mom. Beyoncé’s mother Tina Knowles, her father Mathew Knowles, and step-mother Gena Avery have also flown out for the big weekend.
The Atlantis has already hosted Kendall Jenner’s 818 launch party, where her liquor line has been labeled “the new official tequila of the hotel.”
The model posted pictures of herself in her look for the night, a knee-length leaf green dress paired with black leather opera gloves that matched her knee-high boots with a pointed toe. Jay-Z was there and other celebrities at the event included Liam Payne, Jonathan Cheban, and Simon Huck.
On Wednesday, Beyoncé was heard soundchecking for the event, practicing her big hits “Drunk in Love” and “Crazy in Love,” and her setlist includes “Halo,” “Naughty Girl,” and “Freedom.”
