When the two-story, 5,000-square-foot Biologique Recherche LA Ambassade opened at the end of summer, it not only offered a super exclusive skin-care spot for its always-in-demand targeted treatments, but it also introduced the world to the incredibly skilled aesthetician Mary Stofle. We recently caught up with the “magician of on Melrose Place,” who told us what’s good wellness-wise this winter in the City of Angels. (Spoiler alert: It’s not all from the brand, she’s a fan of Botox and fillers and she’s confident she’s cracked the code on erasing sun-damage.)

Day Break:

I enjoy my drive through Laurel Canyon every morning. I usually stop at the espresso bar at the Laurel Canyon Country Store and get an oat milk latte. I like to sing loudly in my car to whatever I’m currently listening to. Right now, it’s Taylor Swift’s Midnights. Karma is my jam. It’s a routine that makes me happy and gives me energy.

Favorite Facial:

I love performing a customized two-hour Biologique Recherche facial. You get a bit of everything. The remodeling face machine is my go-to for the perfect lift. My favorite product from Biologique Recherche is the La Grande Crème. It reduces D.N.A damage and is by far the best anti-aging crème I’ve ever used. The texture is rich and luxurious. It lifts and firms the skin.

Lunch Loves:

I love Kreation. They have the best fresh juice and smoothies. Right now, I’m loving the Super Digestive Celery vegetable juice.

Unwind Time:

My unwinding these days consists of Pilates and hiking. I love Carries Pilates on La Cienega Blvd. I hike Fryman Canyon weekly. I also enjoy a good glass of white wine.

Treatment Talk:

I go to Dr. Harry Glassman in Beverly Hills for my Botox and fillers. I’m very honest about that. STRIIIKE in Beverly Hills is fabulous for eyebrows. PAUSE in West Hollywood is my go-to place for my vitamin-therapy treatments.

Sun Shame:

I was a sun-worshipper in my teens and twenties. I grew up in California; I went to tanning beds. I want to cry when I think about it! With the right Biologique Recherche regimens and product use you can erase the damage. I’m living proof.

Shop Girl:

IRO on Melrose Place has gorgeous clothes. The Frederic Malle store on Melrose Place is where I go for my candles and perfume.

Never More:

I never leave home without my SPF. I would also never use heat on my face. Doing everything cool is the best way to get healthy, glowing skin. Heat dehydrates the skin and can cause inflammation.
