“Seamless bras can be a comfy alternative to traditional sewn bras because there are little to no seams on the inside,” offers Ra’el Cohen, Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer at Thirdlove. “[They’re] knitted on a special machine that creates fabric in tubes, minimizing the amount of sewing and stitches that are needed to construct the bra.”

What to Look for In a Seamless Bra
“Seamless bras are typically wireless, so look for one that has the right amount of coverage and support for your size and shape,” Cohen says. Keeping in mind the function of your seamless bra, make sure you choose one that will serve its purpose. For example, choosing a bra for everyday wear vs. a bra for yoga or other activities.
When it comes to fabrics, Cohen notes that lightweight microfibers and mesh are usually the most popular fabrics for bras. “They’re breathable, and stretchy and soft to the touch, which make them more comfortable on the body.” She also warns against thick or overly ornate fabrics, since they’re more likely to show through your clothes and aren’t as breathable.
How to Know If Your Seamless Bra Fits
According to Cohen, almost 80 percent of people are wearing the wrong bra size. Yikes. And while fitting a seamless bra can be a little different than traditional styles (they usually come in S, M, L, etc., rather than band and cup sizing), there are a few universal guidelines. Slipping straps (or straps that are digging into your skin), cup gaping, side overflow, or cup overflow are all signs that your seamless bra is the wrong size.
